Orientation for both Air Rifle and .22 Rifle has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the McKee 4-H Building at The Ranch. This will be the last opportunity to complete the orientation requirement for these disciplines for 2024.
This orientation is for new members and returning members who are adding the discipline. Members must complete all of the following four steps to be eligible to attend the New Member Orientation.
1. Enrolled as a 4-H member.
2. Paid 4-H enrollment dues.
3. Attended the Annual Safety Meeting on Zoom.
4, Completed Required Paperwork.
Members AND parents are required to attend.
Orientation is required BEFORE members are eligible to attend practices.
The deadline to fill out the Required Paperwork is Monday, March 25 by 7:00 p.m. The form must be completed BEFORE you attend orientation or practices. If you don’t fill it out by the deadline, you will NOT be eligible to participate in 2024.
The New Member Orientation and Practice for Air Rifle, Air Pistol, .22 Rifle, and .22 Pistol are CANCELED for Thursday, March 14. More information including a new date for the Orientation will be shared as soon as it is available. Thank you for your understanding.
The orientation process for Larimer County 4-H Shooting Sports includes a mandatory Annual Safety Meeting on Zoom for all Shooting Sports members FIRST.

The High Country Handiworkers club has organized an Internet Conclusion Course for Hunter Education on April 20–21, 2024.
This course is for 4-H members. However, parents and siblings are welcome to attend and earn their hunter education cards as well.
All participants must complete the online course BEFORE attending the in-person course. We recommend starting soon—the online course takes significant time to finish. The cost is $29.50. Click here for the online course: https://www.hunter-ed.com/colorado/.

The 4-H Carnival will be on March 2 from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and Shooting Sports will host two booths: Skee Ball and Ammo Pull.
The Carnival is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Larimer County 4-H Foundation and the Shooting Sports program. The funds help support Larimer County members who are traveling to Nationals in June as well as other Shooting Sports needs.
Please volunteer for a shift to help!
We need to clarify the dates for New Member Orientations for Air Rifle, Air Pistol, .22 Rifle, and .22 Pistol.
New members are required to attend one New Member Orientation on either Thursday, February 22 at 6:00 p.m. or Thursday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the McKee 4-H Building at The Ranch (5280 Arena Circle, Loveland, Colorado 80538).
Before attending New Member Orientation, please be sure you have completed ALL of the following four steps:
Enrolled as a 4-H member.
Paid 4-H enrollment dues.
Attended the Annual Safety Meeting on Zoom.
Completed Required Paperwork.
