Orientation Process for 2026

FIRST, all new and returning members must attend one Safety Meeting on Zoom each year. Choose one date and watch your email for the link.

SECOND, new members attend one of two New Member Orientations scheduled for each discipline. This step also applies to returning members adding a new discipline.

Members must complete the orientation BEFORE attending practices. (Returning members are defined as those who participated in practices for the discipline during the previous year.)

  • Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.

New Member Orientations

New Members

Members new to Larimer County 4-H Shooting Sports must complete the orientation process by attending a Safety Meeting on Zoom FIRST, followed by New Member Orientation in person for each discipline in which they are enrolled SECOND.

Each Shooting Sports discipline will host its own orientations for new members. Go to each discipline’s page on LC4HSS.org for dates, times, and locations.

Returning Members

All returning members are required to attend the mandatory Safety Meeting on Zoom.

Returning members who are adding a new discipline must also attend the orientation for the new discipline before attending practices.

* To be considered a returning member, members must have participated in practices for the discipline during the previous year.

** Members who participated in either Air Rifle or .22 Rifle in the previous year do NOT need to attend the new member orientation for Rifle to add the other discipline.
