Here’s how it works:

Each discipline has qualifying classes that determine the top 10 national qualifiers. Based on those criteria, the top 10 placings receive a green ribbon at the state competition and are declared national qualifiers. The top 4 for each discipline, highlighted in bold, are automatically on the national team unless:

  1. they are eligible in multiple disciplines and choose to compete in another discipline,

  2. they are ineligible due to aging out of 4-H (4-H age 19 years old for 2026),

  3. they have already competed in the discipline at Nationals in the past,

  4. they declined to compete.

🏆 Members who accepted a spot as a team member are highlighted with a trophy.
