Archery Practices Moving Outdoors Starting May 7
Practices for Archery are moving outdoors on Thursdays from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Fort Collins Archery Association Range (scroll down for a map).
Parking at the Range
There is a parking meter at the top of the hill at the entrance to the upper parking lot. It is currently out of service, but please be prepared to pay $5 for a day pass using a card, should the meter start working again.
For those who plan to use the range for more than our weekly practices, consider joining the Fort Collins Archery Association (FCAA), which includes parking for one year.
Lower parking lot: limited spaces available
Upper parking lot: limited spaces available
Street parking: allowed when lots are full
What to Expect and What to Bring
Follow the 4-H Shooting Sports dress code, including fully-enclosed, closed-toe shoes.
Plan to arrive early or stay a few minutes late to help set up or tear down the archery range. (It counts as community service for your record book!)
Arrive by no later than 7:15 p.m. to allow sufficient time to set up your gear and complete a few rounds of practice.
Start at the check-in table. (A parent, guardian, or responsible designated adult over the age of 18 must be in attendance with members at all practices.)
Bring your archery equipment, or borrow equipment from the 4-H program.
Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, insect spray, jackets, shade, and chairs for your family. Bring a blanket for younger children to enjoy busy-bag activities.
The range will remain open to the public and FCAA members. Please be courteous to everyone at the range.
The on-site restroom is a vault toilet.
